About This Grade
YD-3AC is a yellow EVA hot melt adhesive in flake form, with a low softening point, for side gluing in bookbinding.
What side glue does
Side glue is applied in a narrow strip along the first and last pages of the book block, so the cover hinges neatly and stays attached at the edges.
Low softening point
With a softening point of 70±5°C and a melt viscosity of 1500±300 mPa·s at 180°C, YD-3AC is softer and more fluid than our spine glue YD-2AB, suited to the thin side strip.
Flakes for glue pots
Yellow flakes melt quickly in bookbinding glue pots and are easy to top up during a run.
Produced in our ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified plant in Zhejiang. Our bookbinding adhesives carry the China Environmental Labelling (Ten-Ring) certification. Free samples and the full technical data sheet are available on request.

Where It's Used
Side Gluing for Bookbinding
In perfect binding, side glue runs a narrow strip along the first and last pages so the cover hinges neatly onto the book block. YD-3AC is a yellow EVA flake grade made for that side-gluing station, alongside a spine glue such as YD-2AB.
