About This Grade
YD-8935 is a yellow hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive (HMPSA) in block form, made for the seal strip on courier and mailing bags.
Built for self-seal flaps
The adhesive is coated onto the bag flap and covered with a release liner. When the liner is peeled away, the exposed HMPSA grips the bag film under hand pressure, so the sender can close the bag without tools.
Viscosity and softening point
Melt viscosity is 2000±500 mPa·s at 180°C and the softening point is 70±5°C. These values give your coating line a consistent reference for setting melt and application temperatures.
Supplied as blocks
YD-8935 ships as solid blocks for bulk melters on bag-making and coating lines. For different films or release liners, our lab can tune tack and peel to your material.

Where It's Used
Seal Strips for Courier and Mailer Bags
YD-8935 is the adhesive layer on a courier bag's seal strip. It is coated onto the flap and protected by a release liner; when the sender peels the liner away and presses the flap down, the tacky HMPSA grips the film and closes the bag.
