About This Grade
YD-5239 is a colorless, transparent hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive (HMPSA) supplied in block form. It is formulated as a structural construction adhesive for hygiene products: the adhesive that holds nonwoven layers, films and absorbent cores together inside a diaper or pad.
A discreet, transparent bond line
Because the adhesive is colorless and transparent, it does not show through thin white nonwovens. The finished product looks clean from the outside, and the bond line stays discreet even where coverage is heavier.
Low viscosity, defined softening point
With a melt viscosity of 500±100 mPa·s at 180°C, YD-5239 flows easily through hot melt application equipment. Its softening point of 82±5°C gives your team a consistent reference when setting tank and hose temperatures.
Permanently tacky, supplied as blocks
As a pressure sensitive formulation, YD-5239 stays tacky after it cools, so layers can be brought together and pressed on the line. It ships as solid blocks, a common format for bulk melters on hygiene converting lines.

YD-5239 is a construction adhesive: it holds the topsheet, core wrap and backsheet film of a hygiene product together, so the finished diaper or pad stays intact from the converting line to the end user. The colorless bond line stays discreet under thin white nonwovens.
